Brother Bicor VX1005 Sewing Machine
This machine may be a bit new to fit into our collection, but the machine was in great condition when we found it. We don't profess to be an expert on all of our sewing machines, especially this one. We believe the Bicor is made by Brother--a better known brand-name. It sews forward and in reverse and does a nice zig-zag (created by a built-in plastic cam). Controls include upper thread tension adjustment, zig-zag width and needle centering adjustment, The stitch length dial has a push-button for reverse sewing.
It has a carrying handle and a power-on switch controls the light and power to the motor. There is a pushbutton-type release for bobbin winding. Serial number of our machine is AG674939 and it was made in Poland. The machine is made with a mixture of aluminum and plastic parts.
Threading diagram is shown on the machine's front.
Our machine has a free-arm and the attachment to create a flat bed contains a handy storage compartment shown below.
